Revisions

What are revisions?

Revisions are required changes to the translated text. With certified translations being literal, word-for-word translations of the source-language text, only the information contained in the source material can be included and nothing else.

The following are examples that help to explain what is and isn’t defined as a required revision:

A required revision: A handwritten document where an “o” is confused with an “a” in the translation.

Not a required revision: Your birth certificate reads “Jhon” but the correct spelling of your name is “John”. This is not a required revision as this must be corrected in the source document and not in the translation.

How can I request a revision?

Once your translations have been delivered, you’ll have the option to request a revision to your translations if required.

Do I have to pay for revisions?

Never. They are included in your order and there is no limit to the number of revisions that can be requested.
